Could you put the dining set in front of the window and use your buffet behind the sofa for more room ,also save your money and paint your buffet black if you like the other one will not make that much size difference in this room

I also do not think that the barstool and table irons go well together. I would replace one or the other.

I agree I would not have any buffet in this space, the round table is a good choice for the space some art on the wall and in the window a shallow sofa table to use as a side board is all this room can handle.

Ok, wow, great advice so far. The green pillow is on top of a chair in the living room. I know it's a horrible pic, but attached to help you see the narrow space I'm dealing with. I also hate that chair, but can't replace it right now. Does this help give you an idea? K :)

Have you considered a rug for under the table set? It could help separate the space, as well as add a pop of color! Here are some ideas:

Possibly will do a rug once my space is put together correctly. Also want to finish the LR to make sure it's the right color. Would probably do a round one. :) K

Think about a banquette type set up, with seat under the window and you could keep your table and two chairs - just reupholster to match the new bench and the black buffet (which I think is the better of the two styles and size wise as well) and place along the long wall as per picture. Other idea is to have an actual banquette built that had storage under the seating and you may not need a buffet at all.

The black buffet is nice. Do you have room? The area looks cramped. If you have room then proceed by all means. Consider Black and Tan plaid for chair seats.

Hi---yes, smaller buffet, banquette with storage (as pictured), light fixture hung lower, and a few accessories to dress up the table/buffet. Good Luck!
