I assume you're not planning for TV. Center the rug on the FP and move the secretary to be centered with the rug on that same wall to fill a lot of it. Then I'd angle the two chairs flanking it. Add a pair of sofas in an "L" out in front of the FP. Make sure they are at least partially on the rug (front feet to first 1/3 on it for sure, maybe more, depending on how things align with the FP.) Use a sofa table behind the one whose back is to the foyer. Put the coffee table 18" from one of the sofas so it aligns with the FP opening. Use an end table with the other one that has an end close to a wall outlet. The other end table can go with one of the chairs, a floor lamp with the other chair. You might need a floor lamp by the piano too. You need large art (but no wider than the firebox) for the mantel which I'd leave unpainted. Art above the piano and in the dining room as well .

the windows in the LR are in conflict, one very traditional and the other very modern and both dramatic, demanding attention. they make me crosseyed. until the architecture is sorted out no furniture choices will make the room comfortable. sorry to be so blunt..... I hate to see you waste money, when you will be unhappy with the results.
