lisa, it is a beautiful room. very rich and sedate. if I were you I would move the mirrors up, so that the bottom edge of them is a bit lower than the bottom of the shade. a bit iof color would not hurt. could you get lamp shades in a color you love and curtains that have a touch of that color? West Elm (not associated in any way) have beautiful ones with grey and other colors.

Agree with you that there is just too much grey, especially with adjoining rooms also being grey. It would be softer if you painted the room a cream and it would create an interesting contrast. Change pillow cases and blanket at end of bed to beige and tuck in all the bedding in behind frame or shorten the length that blanket hangs over and add lots of pillows. Wondering if you moved the hutch/tv to sit across the corner (where dog bed is). Then place both pictures closer together and lower. Adding a bech seat would be great. Hope these ideas help.[houzz=

I think it's gorgeous and doesn't need much. You can add some pops of color in small accessories, which you've already done. Perhaps the lamp shades could be traded out for a light turquoise to match the bedding, plus adding a turquoise picture frame or accent on the TV cabinet. Maybe raise the curtains and/or switch them out to something patterned.

You could also consider bringing in a third accent color - perhaps a pink, lavender, or yellow? Use it sparingly if you do.

    Great job! :)

stunning!!!! i would sell the piece the tv sits on and use the money to buy a simple sleek wooden piece for tv and then paint it a creamy white to complement your headboard....place a few additional pieces of art surrounding the tv ....maybe one on each side so the tv doesn't scream so loud....i don't think you need a lot of blue...perhaps just some more throw pillows too add colur and richness to the bed

Keep it with different shades of gray and white. I like the idea of having the mirrors a bit higher. I would try pure white lamp shades. The two paintings above the tv seem to high, in my opinion. TV wall could be a lighter shade of gray.

I think you are on the right track, but the curtain rod needs to be moved up. Rule of thumb is 4" above trim, at least. Also, I agree that you need to move the mirrors up so that the bottom is a little lower than the bottom of the lamp shade. I think you could use some Euro shames on the bed behind the standard shams to give you some height, your headboard looks too large right now since your mattress isnt a very high one, so get some height on the bed with maybe a fun lumbar pillow up front. I would go with a larger armoir or something to balance the head board and those large pictures. I think I have more of a problem visually with the scale than the colors.
