Hi Hannah. Thanks for your comments and questions. I do think you could get a serene feel utilizing your existing stained furniture with the same wall colors. It will of course look different than this room as it's all tonal which adds to the element of serenity. If you feel comfortable, post some pics of your room and I will be happy to give you additional advice. :)
