How do I attach pictures? Sorry new to the site...do they need to be in a certain format?

Figured it out! Here are some pics.

seems like not only the back wall is painted red- is the whole wall on the left also red? as an accent wall, that red might work,but i dont think it looks next to your cabinets and backsplash - next to the window, can you get some more pics from a bit further pls? to get the whole pic.

The whole wall is red. If I do paint the cabinets white I will slowly start purchasing new appliances as well. What other colors would you recommend for the accent wall? I am not sure if I am tired of the red. What other colors would you recommend in the kitchen area?

how about blue as your accent wall -
you could also go with a light green on all walls, are you also getting new backsplash - that will depend on what colour you'll paint your walls.
you can also stay natural and go with a light gray, but i think that accent wall could take a little "pop" - heres a grey painted walls- kitchen with black countertop and white cabinetry, their backsplash though is white -
here you have a kitchen thats more colourful - green countertop and blue and green backsplash- really depends on your style

was just going through the pix you like as inspiration and i see you like chalkboard walls - how about getting this for your wall in the eating area - a banquet seating, chalkboard wall on top - okay this one is not about the wallpaper, but just for an idea, you can get any wallcolour and then a chalkboard wall-

Thanks for all the feedback. I'd have to talk to my husband about the chalkboard wall. He is not a huge fan of it. I think the blue may be a little too bright. Have you ever heard of anyone gluing backsplash over granite? I am considering that. What are your thoughts on the hanging plates?

i like the hanging plates- looks like a artwork - thing is if you are painting a different colour, you'll have to go according to that
not sure about gluing backsplash on granite, have to wait for more houzzers :)
