Help me complete my family room:)

I need to add another chair, side table coffee table and art work! Should I get another green chair? Any suggestions? Is the layout I have started the best solution?

These are some items I am considering for the room. Will it all look good together?

Beautiful room, gorgeous floors. Coffee table is a good choice, the wicker chair and art, not so much. I would prefer color, but that's me. What about a nice area rug to pull everything together. Is that your DR or kitchen with chairs in the picture. Can you show a picture of that area to get an idea of how the rooms will flow.

Get another green chair to match what you have and place it on the opposite side of the fireplace. Your sofa looks more like a love seat in size so you don't want your coffee table to be too large. Something round might give better proportions. You may not need a third chair but if you do than an upholstered one with a wood frame and wood arms might be practical so that you could move it about the room as required and yet it wouldn't take up too much space.

The layout you started looks great. YES to another green chair, a coffee table, artwork, and a rug. Nice!

It's a beautiful room. I say ditch the wicker chair and the artwork you posted. I'd get another green chair as others have suggested. Keep coffee table in proportion to your love seat. Consider a long console table on wall with door, add lamps to it. You don't want to always have to used the overhead lights. Add large artwork, be sure there is a table for each chair where one can place a drink, book, etc. You could also place console tables under each window with lamps. Large area rug. However you place the chairs, make sure they are "in" the room as opposed to being placed in the corner. You have a lovely home.

Also, The tables under the windows, one could be a dresser-type, think storage for linens, candles, etc. and the other could be open shelves for placement of books. Shop consignment, goodwill, etc. You could also have them in the same woods or painted. Love your boat sign so maybe a convex mirror over mantle. In basket place some birch logs.

This is attached to the kitchen that we have not yet finished (last on our list). We have been living here for over two years as we have been remodeling. It is exciting to think I will have furniture to sit on soon!!! We do not watch tv in the room. Attached is a glimpse of what the room looked like before; although, you cannot see that the door was by the small window in the corner and there was carpet on the wall with stools. We have ordered 6 stools for the counter in a cream and wood combination.

I think that couch is too small for the room. Maybe get another just like it and set it perpendicular to the one there and move the green chair to the other side of fireplace. A nice rug, some pillows and tables & lamps

You may want to consider is this modular wall system that can be matched to your kitchen or home decor to increase the design flow throughout your home. The shelves can be easily changed or moved around and there is space for tv wiring behind:

Did I read correctly - 6 stools for the bar area. Think it will be very crowded. Have you made enough changes to the room that you can post an updated pic.

As if now I haven't purchased anything since my post for the room. The bar is u shaped with plenty of room, those are on back order. I will post updates when I make a decision. Still uncertain on what to do!!

Here's something big & creative for those walls. Wall fountains are great natural humidifiers and will prevent your hardwood floors from drying out. Check out more at http://www.luxewaterwalls.com/
