I need to replace the toilet in the main bathroom in my home. The current toilet is a 1977 Kohler with a 10 inch rough-in (original to the home). My counter top extends over the toilet tank and is 31 inches from the floor. The current toilet is 26 inches high. I would like to replace the toilet without having to replace the counter top which means I need a toilet that is no more than 26 (or maaaaybe 27) inches tall so that I can still access the tank. I've only been able to find one toilet on the market that has a 10 inch rough-in and is under 27 inches tall. It's the Toto Carolina II which I understand is an excellent toilet but is way more than I was hoping to spend (around $1,000). To my knowledge, Kohler, American Standard, and Vortens do not make toilets with 10 inch rough-ins that are under 27 inches tall and the Carolina II is the only Toto that meets those specifications. Anyone know of another option??? Thanks!
