After many rounds of design to get to an appropriate budget, we're settling on the final plans, and hope to get a firm bid from our contractor on the attached plans this week.

We will be doing an induction cooktop and the ovens will be a steam convection and conventional (likely also convection). Microwave to be hidden away in tall cabinets. 45" Kohler stages sink if the drain portion will fit above the dishwasher. I'd love to do a chimney-style hood but that's not likely to work given some plumbing issues in the ceiling.

Just wondering if there are any layout decisions or options we should consider before committing to a particular configuration. Any thoughts on undercounter recycling/trash placement? Thanks!
