Tile problem

So we came home to this last night. The picture we gave the contractor showed the upper tiles on the diagonal matching as they went around the corners. This hasnt been grouted yet. We dont know what to do. I think it looks bad. This contractor has been a nightmare from the start. What would you all do? Should I just live with it? Isnt matching the pattern pretty standard?
