Any ideas???

I have always stuck to a brown theme in all my rooms but now I want unleash a wanting I have had for years and that is to use different patterns and colours particularly in my master bedroom. My inspiration is now coming from a point blanket I received as a gift. I want to achieve a modern lodge style feel in the room and use the blanket as an accent and go from there however I intend on painting the room a warmer tone of a grey and i want to incorporate a birch tree wall paper at my headboard wall along the same tones
Sooo anybody have any ideas before I go far with accent colour and patterns. My master is 20x16 and hasn't been done in 14years. Yea I know. Be kind please. Lol. Don't know if that helps but any suggestions would be appreciated actually I think I will add a pic. Thanks

Use the wallpaper to match your paint color. I love the idea of birch tree wall paper, but then I absolutely LOVE trees so I'm sure it will be lovely.

Here are the first two of a few pics for inspiration. The wallpaper and your blanket.

The next two just show some gray on the bed with blankets. Yours could be added to the bottom for contrast.

Next three just show how the bedding could end up. Substitute your blanket.

Last pic is an idea for window coverings. When you look at houzz photos, you look at what inspires you about the pic, not necessarily the whole room, but what bits and pieces you like and how you can achieve that look within your budget and design aesthetic. :)

Yes. Should have posted in the "Dilemma" department. New to the site and not paying attention. Yes it is called. Hudsons Bay blanket as well. I actually live only km's away from the original North West Company which was Henry Hudsons main competitor at the time. Thank you for the input and any advice is appreciated
Just going to get wallpaper samples this eve

Hi. How did the wallpaper buying go? I hope you were able to browse through houzz photos to see other examples of how you could decorate the room. Yes, when you are new to houzz it's hard to know what to say let alone where to put your dilemma. If you would like, you can close this thread just by saying "THREAD CLOSED" and then you could repost in design dilemma section. There is always an option. :) And you could post a link to the new thread as well.

I think I found the perfect wallpaper. Just waiting for it to come in. Won't pick out paint till paper is up.I will close this thread and reopen in design dilemma. Thanks for the info. Maybe I should post progress pics. Do they do that on this site?

I love the wallpaper you picked, good buy! I think it would be best to post in design dilemma because aren't you still going to have questions about which paint, textiles, etc. to pick?? I really think before and after is just that, before the project and then after completed and people can ooh and ahh! But, of course, totally your call. I will look forward to hearing more on your bedroom project. :)
