The second one if these are the only options, I agree with J Design Group, there are so many options on the market.

The second would also be my choice if that was the only option but I would continue to look because there is many more options for the "beachy feeling"

Tilley, if I were you I would explore more. These two options are truly "dust collectors."

I choose the one with the white glass shades. I agree there are so many choices....you could go even more beachy. Use a fixture that has abalone shell in it.
The amber glass looks too Tuscany.

Your house is traditional in style. I would go with the second one.

There's nothing "beachy" about either of the chandelier options. From the pics you posted, it looks like your house is very traditional. I'm not sure how you get from there to beachy, but to match your house style, pick the second chandelier.

I have the same outdated light in my foyer. Anything with upright glass shades is a problem for changing bulbs & cleaning unless you have a scaffold and iron nerves. What were they thinking when they built all these 30 foot foyers? I may go with an open orb style to replace the brass "birdcage"

I would pick the second out of the two. Not crazy about either option though. Definitely doesn't feel costal.

I think your existing is more "beachy" than the other two. You could paint it white, tan or blue/antique finish and even go as far as to frost the glass with etching creme (though I like the clear glass). However if you don't want a DIY project then I like the looks groveraxle and maureen posted. You could also go with some our custom blown or fused glass fixtures that we make all custom made to fit your space and available in a variety of colors! ;)
