My next dilemma is this. . .

We have just painted our entire downstairs and finally come time to get a splash back for the kitchen. All along we have thought we were going to have a white pearl glass splash back... Now I've painted I have done a total 360 and not too keen on that idea anymore. I'm thinking now I need a contrast, as our home is country/rustic themed I was thinking a mid to dark grey tile with white grout? Hubby suggested dark brown...? Honestly open to advice or suggestions.

p.s. Shelving in the island is actually stainless, haven't yet removed protective sticker... And also yet to build custom doors for cabinet under the sink - so that could potentially be used to incorporate/accent the splashback.
