Need help with window coverings

We are building a new house. It has multiple hung windows, and a 16' sliding door. Would it be ok to put vertical shades on the sliding glass window and grommet curtains on the other windows in the great room? Having a problem figuring out what the best way to handle the window coverings. Its an open concept with kitchen, dining, living, foyer all open. Any advice would be very helpful.

Why not grommet drapes everywhere, they are very easy to open and close I have mine on a wire system that makes moving them effortless and then they all look the same, I have them all along a very long wall in my LR even though there are 2 types of windows (sliding and fixed)

Hi Laura,

The best part about windowcoverings is that we can mix and match them, in a concious way , to suit our needs. Verticals on a patio door, rollershades on the rest or rollershades on the patio door , cellular shades on the rest with drapery panels for the warmth and coziness you might be looking for.
