I am considering replacing the ceramic tile in my kitchen with wood that would match the rest of the main level. My kitchen can be seen from most of the rooms. The family room is open to the kitchen. But I'm really concerned about the practicality of wood in the kitchen. We are messy cooks and the kitchen floors get dirty, greasy often. Tile just seems to make more sense.
