I need to figure out kitchen floors....

Hi, I'm adding some additional cabinets in my kitchen and will be replacing the floors at the same time. I need to figure out what flooring to go with, but am concerned with matching the cabinets, granite, and backsplash. Any thoughts? I've thought of a dark brown 12 by 24 tile, but am concerned that the rest of my house has medium brown oak floors.
