The first picture is looking toward the dining room. The desk is now gone and we have a dining set in the room. The second picture is the entry. The third is the dining room with our new furniture. I will add more photos that show the entry way and both built ins.

The chairs in the living room aren't permanent:) We just got the dining room set and I love it! So you think I could go with a turquoise or green in the entry and built ins? Maybe I could paint the built-ins the same as the walls - mushroom cap?

Be sure and get a sample of the paint and paint either a poster board or a small piece of sheet rock, and move it around your rooms to see how the light effects it. From what I can tell looking at BM's site, mushroom cap looks like it's an orangish yellow that could be hard to get right as most light yellows are.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'browned down' colors. The more muted blues and greens have a grayish undertone that would look nice with the wood in your home.

If you have a few minutes, go to Sherwin Williams' site and use their color visualizer program where you can upload pictures of your room, and apply color to them. It's not perfect by any means, but it does help you get an idea of how a color will look in a room.

Hi---Nice space... You mentioned you wanted a bold color choice for the entry and Mushroom Cap for the living/dining areas. In my opinion, Mushroom Cap (pale orange/yellow) is the bold color choice. So I'll recommend a color for the muted turquoise green---BM's Silver Song---more saturated color check: Antique Jade... An alternative for the mushroom cap could be La Paloma Gray... Instead of painting, why don't you look for some rugs. Your place is really nice but it needs a couple of large area rugs that would work together but not be exactly alike.

It will be easier to match paint to rugs than the other way around.

I agree with the rug idea. Was thinking of not having a rug for the dining room but getting one for the living room. I will re-cover dining chairs first so I need to probably use fabric colors for paint choices.

Hi Vikki---I couldn't find Mushroom Cap in your dining photos---could you give me the title of the photo or attach it in your response?

If you are planning on buying a rug I would choose that first. It's a lot easier to match your paint color to your rug than it is to match a rug to your paint color.
