Very true. However, Marla, if your basement is dry, you're at least halfway there already. I have a huge dehumidifier running constantly in my granite rubble walled basement, and It sucks out at least a gallon or two of water daily just from the air. No, we don't have visible water on the floor, etc., but that kind of humidity is bad enough.
