So my husband and I are building a 5 bedroom house on 1.8 acres. We cleared too many trees in the back and now regret it.(Yes we stupidly ignored the builders advice and now here we are asking for help!) We have too much lawn and are now stuck with pushing it to the perimeter of the trees. I wanted to pull the lawn in a bit and do something creative and not too expensive to the area between the lawn and the tree line. One idea put forward by my builder was to plant wild flowers and leave it rough. I'm not crazy about this idea as we live in New England and there is a large population of deer in the area. And Deers bring ticks etc. I will try to attach the plans and look forward to the suggestions.
