Bath tubs and Drought

I'm wondering whether the bath tubs will become dinosaurs in drought stricken areas like California. It occurs to me drought could cause a paradigm shift in bathroom design. Thoughts?
I've been deliberating whether I should leave the last tub in the house in place when I remodel my small master bath this winter or whether I can replace it with a walk-in shower (my personal preference).

If you are concerned about resale, I'd keep one tub in the house. A lot of buyers want to have a tub.

I'm wondering about that… Most of us probably consider resale when we remodel but I'm a Realtor too. So you'd think I'd have a compass for this : } Generally, I find the tub wish is 50:50 but as water becomes more & more restricted I'm thinking baths may become too wasteful.

So do you want to turn away 50% of buyers who want a tub, (assuming that the other 50% don't care)?
