Oak never went out yet where I am. I think it is out in other parts of the country, at least in Honey Oak.

I think as long as they are clean, the Oak will be fine.

I think people dislike oak as it's probably what those under 35 grew up with and it reminds them of their parents and grandparents home. There's nothing wrong with it any more than there's something wrong with brick.

:). Yep! That is my complaint with it! My mom's house had every piece of cabinetry and storage furniture in that same honey oak. I hated it then and refuse to have any of it at all in my house!
But if you are selling, as long as they are in good condition and clean, let the new owner decide. I know have never been happy in a kitchen designed by someone else.

I think it's more the shape of the cabinet face and hardware than the color of the wood that can seem outdated.

My whole house is honey oak !!! I love it !!! However my bedroom furniture is cherry wood. I don’t want to get honey oak bedroom furniture! Any suggestions my home is very traditional.

We’re having a house built very soon and we have always loved oak-plan to have it in our new house! We’ve never had pretty cabinets and oak has always been our first choice for years. We’re both 50+ and the other 60+! If that’s what you like, get it! Who cares what other people like or not!
