Are you seeing this when you are on the edit screen for your ideabook? That text box is where you can add either public of private comments. They do not show publicly unless you actually comment there. Hope that helps!

No I am not in the edit mode. I go to 'your Houzz', select one of my idea books, the photos show up on the screen and all of them have a little blank edit box in the bottom left-hand corner. How can I delete them?

Ahhhh... I see now. Didn't realize you were using the app. If you tap on those, you are able to leave a comment in your ideabook about the photo, which is saved with it in your ideabook. For example, when you save a photo because you love the couch, but then months later can't remember why you saved it, it's good to have a note with it telling you what you liked about the photo.

If you click on the photo itself (rather than the comment box) you go directly to the photo and can swipe through your saved images without the box on them. Hope that helps!

Yes I understand what they do, but my question is can I get rid of them? I think they are annoying. They just started showing up and I did not notice them before. Is this something new? I am on version 2.2.2. When was this added? Also I believe there is a bug because when you add a comment they turn green, but if the comment is deleted it stays green when it should go back to white.

Thanks for the heads up on the icon staying green. Yes, those icons were part of a recent update on the app and there is no way to disable them at this time.
