Staging Bedroom - House for Sale

Our house is for sale. This is the guest bedroom. What improvements can I make to this room that would be cost effective?

Thoughts:
Flower on nightstand. What color/style of pot?
Mirror on right side of bed ?
Pillows- what color and style?
Fabric on end of bed?
Anything on top of armoire?

First of all, Please remove any and all permanent (artificial) plants in the home. Fresh plants add life and oxygen. Remove the wing chair out of the room, unless there is a sitting area available, it crowds the space. Equally space out the Night Tables and center the lamps. Place 1-3 small nice leather bound books on the tables. Think of Heaven, Man & Earth on every horizontal surface in your home. Heaven: meaning a light source = Candle or lamp. Man: meaning a man made object = figurine, sculpture, photograph (not in staging) and Earth: meaning = bowl of potpourri or live plant. Leave the Tapestry, it is a statement piece. If you have a piece in the home that is more conducive to a serene environment...then please exchange. If not, no worries...don't remove. No time to repair the walls behind and the room would look to sterile without it. If you have a warm colored throw for the space that you could casually drape across the foot of the bed, that would be marvelous ....then you could display a tray table with a linen and cup & saucer with a glass domed plate of freshly baked cookies & bud vase of fresh cut flowers...this would all add grace & charm space. Making those potential buyers remember your home.

When selling, less is more. It is often easier for a buyer to imagine their stuff where your stuff isn't.

I accidentally voted for a flower on the night table. This is the last thing you need. LESS is MORE! The more things you have cluttering up the interior the less the buyer will be able to contemplate where their things will go. Take out all your personal pictures, religious items (if any). Confine all clutter. REMOVE, REMOVE, REMOVE.

my vote is for taking half of the stuff out of this room - you have WAY too much knick knacks and decorative items. If you remove the chair and huge armoire, it will look spacious instead of crowded. If the room looks crowded, my head tells me the room is small (even if it isn't).

Remove the big tapestry thing above the head of the bed. It's too ornate for a staged house and appeals to a very specific taste.

Add anything that will make the space look larger and take away anything that makes the space look smaller (the wing chair and armoire). Mirrors add more light and give the illusion of a larger space although can be awkward in a bedroom. Add decorative pillows and a throw at the end of the bed to create desire for the buyer to want to be in that bed.
