Hello! Here's an idea - use a brighter rug in the DR, where it is typically harder to spread color around. Then, use a more subdued rug in the FR, and bring in the co,or through pillows and accessories.

Pottery Barn is finally getting into the grays, and in a very nice way! Showing below their new Asli Suzani rug for the DR, and the Taylor Geo rug in gray mist for the FR. Also, an assortment of pillows that carry this color scheme nicely.

Yo can see the gray in the Suzani rug, as well as in some of the pillows. Your chocolate brown sofa is neutral enough that I don't think you necessarily have to "find" it in the accessories. There will be more than enough brown from the hardwood floors, as well as other casegoods.
