I'm having to think about an exterior door. Plans (see below) call for the door to move and for an inswing door, but it was recommended to go with an outswing door. I think the outswing door makes sense from the point of view of usable space in the mudroom. I've asked for opinions on this previously.

But assuming I we go with an outswing door, which side should the hinges be on (looking into the house)? I was a bit concerned if we were to put the hinges on the left side since the tankless water heater box is there. (Also the door moves closer to that side.)
