Rbcola, yes that should be fine to get an Artemis instead. When actually on a ceiling, a 58" fan can be totally interchangeable with a 52". The number sounds big, but because the 58" is across the whole span of the fan, it only ends up being a 3" difference on both sides. The Artemis is also thin, so it won't be overpowering, and your high ceiling will help there as well. Whatever you choose, make sure you love it. :)

If your ceiling is 13 feet tall, you will need a 36" downrod for it to hang at the optimal 9 feet.

I have a question ceilingfan.com. I have 36x10 porch with 2 ceiling fan stops with 3 recessed lights. I ceiling height is 10'7. I was wondering what size of fan I would need for this space?

Used 52" ceiling fans in rooms w/9' ceilings. However, the Kitchen-Family Room- Breakfast space is 450-500 sf w/12' ceiling. Initially purchased same size (52") for all rooms. But now rethinking to a larger fan......like the Minka Aretimus in the 58". Please advise ASAP....thank you.
