This railing is very nice. What material were used?

I have a step down dining room and am looking to replace the oak railing which runs 20 feet. Looking for something comtemporary, subtle but tasteful like this. It is first thing you seen when you enter my house.

The railing is Maple stained to match the cabinets.. I kept the style simple by using a black flag ship profile spindle mixed with single bars.. Giving it a sleek and timeless look.

Thank you. Are the spindles metal? Is black flag ship profile a style ? recommendations where i can find this or something along the lines of simple, timelss? Appreciation your recommendations/suggestions. I am near San Francisco. Thank you.

The Spindles are metal... I think if you choose a simple square spindle you can achieve this look very easily
