Chandelier over table

This is our vacation home. I choose this chandelier because of the rustic details. My handiman installed it when I was not there to supervise. Do you think it is hung too low over the table? The table is in a corner of the living room. We use mostly as a game table. Thoughts?

The chandelier is too big and heavy looking for that space , the height is fine but you need something different , more delicate looking .

The room has 8 foot ceilings. The table in 30" high.

Yes, it's not working. If it's used primarily as a game table get a large pendant with a bottom diffuser to spread the light around.

Love the chandelier but it doesn't work for the space. I would either replace the furniture or paint the walls and add some accents like pillows on the chairs to tie everything in. If you don't want to go too crazy with projects and furniture I would change the chandelier and get some sort of pendant or drop light
