Aga"s are for the serious cooks I think they are quite a different thing that what most N. Americans are used to and cost the earth. What was the problem with your Viking oven I had a Viking stove in my old house and loved it but it did not have a self cleaning feature. In my new house I have a Bertazzoni that I adore also no self cleaning feature but cooks really well and it is not such a big deal to clean.

My viking does not bake or roast evenly even while using the convection feature. I have had it serviced upteen times with the same results.
