I have two friends that are sisters. One lives in the US and one in Canada. Both recently set up homes. They didn't consult each other during the process. I had occasion to visit the one that lives further away this summer..their set ups are almost identical - color, style and placement. It's funny how they both gravitated toward the same things.

I suggest you keep your large harder to replace items neutral (white, beige, tan, grey, navy and black) then have a blast with your other colors as Lin suggested. As far as what color to add? It depends on your mood.. The month..The season..
