Need help with entryway rug size

I am working on designing my entryway and just got a 3'x5' rug. If you're looking at the pictures, I will be putting some sort of hall tree or bench+shelf on the left, and either a cool coat rack+art/mirror or a skinny console table+mirror on the right. The next rug size up is 5'x8', which would completely cover the entire entryway rectangle. I would appreciate any thoughts on the best size rug (I don't want to go custom) for the space. Thank you in advance!

Custom isn't as expensive as you might think. I assume that is what is keeping your from custom? The front door is a special place that is seen by all your guests....

Shop for a remnant at a locally owned carpet shop... consider having them cut a circle from the rem, then cut the circle in half for a half moon for in front of your door. You can get two rugs out of one remnant. Put the straight side against the door.

It is a very unique and always just the right size.

Great advice about the remnant. You can even have a border added. The size you have is best. Like your plan for rest of space.

Why not a 4 x 6 rug? I think that is the right size and is a standard rug size.
