Just installed hardwood, bought these grey couches. Can't come up with decorations like pillows, table, rug, etc... Any suggestions on colors?

Please someone share your suggestions for this room. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think only 1 couch would fit best in that space. Then add 2 decorative chairs.

Did you go with modern sofas on purpose because everything else in the room is traditional? What style do you want to go forward with? If you want transitional or traditional you better return or sell those sofas.

    Some ideas?

Make an "L" with the couches. I'm thinking take the tv down and put on a stand. Put the tv on the left wall and add a small end table

Replace one couch with 2 chairs in prints, one or two colors the same,.but not the same pattern. Place couch in front of fireplace and angle chairs on each side.

Oh, maybe a nice print above the fireplace & put the tv on a (swivel) stand

Your new hardwood floors are beautiful! Thought I'd post photos of rooms with some similar features to yours. Take a look at colors and furniture placement. Do you see anything you like?

I think you can create something cool with two sofas, but we really need a photo showing the size of this room from another angle. Also, do you want to keep the red walls or would you be willing to paint them? Are you okay with changing the curtains?

For now, let's start with photos and help you figure out a color scheme. Then we can go from there!

Great suggestions here. I too have a red LR, but it feels outdated. Time to change. What to people think of teal/aqua in LR?

I chose this idea photo for you , I don't think that your TV should be where it is ,the wall isn't designed for it ,perhaps you could get a cabinet for it and place it in the corner or on the other wall facing the window . In the niche above the fireplace add a tall item like a statue ,mirror or vase

Teal color on that wall might be a more modern look? http://houzz.com/photos/14271515

Love your floors and the couches, I don't mind a mix of styles, but I think the drapes and the red walls are clashing with the new sofas- I think you could either do a pop of color over the red but in more of a modern color and carry over to the drapes, or do a darker gray over the red and onto drapes and bring a pop of color with pillows and perhaps an area rug- or neutralize all together and carry current wall color over to the red walls and use art, and assessories to bring in color-
what style is in the rest of the house?

For starters get rid of the red wall. Don't put an accent color there. It just emphasizes the fact the that wall is unfortunately too evenly divided in thirds.

Also, fill in behind the TV and lower the two small pieces of art. They are hanging way too high. AT LEAST 6".
You could use a rug and coffee table, of course. AND, there is nothing wrong with the mix. The sofas look good!

Thank you so much for all your advices. That space is too small, and I will change some things. Will post new pics later. Thanks again.

The hardwood floors and grey couches are great additions to this living room. You could use a neutral rug to integrate the space, as mentioned above. If you decide to keep the red wall, you may also want to try a rug that integrates your accent color and styles in the room.

Change paint color, retire fireplace surround, add earth tone area rug, replace curtains with crisp white. My living room (still need art) may give you some ideas/inspiration. Good luck and post after photos when you're done.

I will definitely get rid of the red walls. Should I paint them in the same colors as all of them? Can't change the drapes, would like to keep them. Will keep the couches , I guess. The rest can go or get changed.
