Did you say you were replacing, refinishing, or painting -- in your home, I would paint/order cabinets the same as the trim color, to contrast with your floors and make the kitchen seem bigger. To enlarge the space, later, you may also consider a wooden (or stainless steel) front for the dishwasher or other appliances. -- Lighter is better in a small u-shaped kitchen. I like the accent blue you have chosen, and believe that it would stand out more, if your walls were even whiter. Great start!
