Fill gap between shower base and hardwood floor?

The previous owners installed hardwood flooring in the bathroom and cut it to fit the (incorrectly installed) shower. We just had a new shower installed but the shape and size of the base are different leaving us with this ugly gap. Suggestions on how to fill this gap and look nice while doing so?
