So many awesome playrooms, and only one vote to give. I love the South End Residence for the color and sophistication, but I adore the Los Feliz room for the open feel and the gigantic bear on the cabinet. So fun.

I love the New York playroom because there is lots to do or nothing & relax. I love the words on the walls esp 'journey' above the door to outside! Lots of fun & the colours are bright & happy..... Great for kids! Well done, to all of you.

Kilgore playroom has so many fun elements going on for kids plus the giant tree mural which is also great. Rock wall, ladder, slide and the cozy window seat for reading is especially nice. The South End Residence is a room I have been admiring for months here on houzz. The color scheme is really terrific with lots of great design features going on in the room.

Kilgore seems to live up to its name: play room! Lots of options. But it depends on the age of the child. Other rooms would be more appropriate for younger children.

When I think about how much time I spent watching kids play, I really like the rooms that have a couch to relax on. :)

I'm not a child and can't see it from their point of views. If I were to choose, I'd choose not to have a playroom in my house at all, but to choose from the options here San Anselmo Bungalow is by far my favorite for the look.

Kilgore looks so fun, I know my kids would pick it. I don't like the colors, etc. but it is a fun room and that is what counts. In my opinion if it was decorated and accessorized like San Anselmo or Polanco Project it would be stellar or shall I say styllar!

The Los Feliz one wins my vote for that awesome chalkboard wall.

I agree with the comment above about the NY playroom. It looks the most fun w/the loft and indoor slide and it's a great use of the space w/the low windows, etc. The last one, South End, is beautiful but too sophisticated to truly be called a playroom to me. It looks posed, like when I pick up the house before company vs what it would look like on a daily basis when kids are home and at play.

I voted for the Do Residence as I felt it was the only one that I would consider safe enough for my 5-year-old to play in. The Kilgore, with that rock wall, is definitely for older children and I see far too many shelves in a couple and a fireplace in a playroom is a MAJOR no-no for younger children. I'm with Bond Girl on the chalk dust, but that's a personal preference, not a safety issue. I do, however, LOVE the words on the walls of the New York room :) For my older children, it would be difficult to decide between several of these!

Writing on the wall(s) - I love writing on the walls but in the NY Playroom there was a table placed infront of the paper roll and board which was meant for creating. Think like a child, can I access, easily the creation space and tools. I loved the Jute Designs room because it was something the average parent could create. It reminded me of a woodland fantasy. Calm space is inspiring. When you can't get to the woods or outdoors go to Jute Designs for a space like this. Lovely.

I actually love them all, but I have to vote for San Anselmo Bungalow - Jute Interior Design, because I love all of Jute's design work ... and San Anselmo, CA is my hometown! Love the tee-pee. And my close second choice is Los Feliz Residence - Jill Seidner Interior Design, because it's awesome, and I currently live right next to Los Feliz. Thanks for representing my dual hometowns!

I love the plum walls of the South End Residence. Just feels playful with the palette.

My inner 8 year old wants the San Anselmo Bungalow teepee in the New York Playroom. She simply can't resist the outdoor access!

I chose the New York playroom because it has all the things my children like to do; a table and chair to read or color, an easel to paint, a great floor to pull the wagon filled with Barney and the other stuffed toys, a desk for the older kids to make crafts at, etc. I also like the colors. The only flaw I see is that I would have to put a lock high on the door so the little ones wouldn't escape. I hope there is a small love seat and television on the other side of the room, for when they want to watch a movie with their friends!

I love the bright cheerful New York state of mind. It looks like the space is near the heart of the home and not isolated.

Polanco Project really strikes a chord with me as my kids would love this, for the ages they are now. The other thing is the big windows and lots of natural light. This room looks like it could easily be changed to suit a number of activities and age groups for not just kids activities. But, the Kilgore Playroom screams; 'WAY COOL'.. curly slide.. how could you not be lured. Lots of lucky kids out there.

The Kilgore one has a cool slide! And a climbing wall! And murals! San Anselmo has a nice earthy feeling and books. (Why so few books in these? All the parents I know -- including myself -- encourage the kids to read. Pediatricians, teachers, etc. recommend reading to kids when they're small and of course they have to practice when they are older.) The South End one is a nice living room--that must be a massive apartment if it has a room with a fireplace and it is relegated to playroom status. Or the parents have different priorities than I do! Ha.

I have to say the Kilgore room is amazing, however, it encourages outdoor play, indoors and I'm just not okay with that. The New York room takes my vote with its designated crafty areas and journey to the outdoors. The others are far too formal for kids play. I love white, but white walls in a play room are a mistake.

Kilgore got my vote. Over the top but that's what kids like. Looks like there is a good tv/movie space off the the right for family time, too. Kids will outgrow but this room should provide years of entertainment. Careful.... you might get asked to host birthday parties for your child's friends! :-)

I'll be tackling a kids play space soon. The New York one has my vote. The slide and the climbing wall of the Kilgore is fabulous, but it really can't be compared to the others... room height....wow!

Love the New York playroom; very inspiring for the imagination and a great paint color.

I have to say one thing....ugh on chalkboards! I know...I know...you old fuddy-duddy, Debbie! (think clean-up) Really though, one playroom has a whole wall of chalkboard? To reach it--they'd have to climb. no. Another choice, the chalkboard is "adult-height usage"...no. To me--chalk is for SIDEWALKS!!! LOL. I know a climbing wall looks like an outdoor activity, but to me, it's taking the place of a ladder to get to the private quiet place. (hopefully to read). There's something appealing in all the rooms. All I have to say is: I'm glad I don't have to make a choice on any---In my day.....LOL....'nuff said.

I loved the green walls with black accents. Kids had several "creative" activity centers and were well organized. My second choice was Kilogor playroom with the mountain climbing, palyhouse. Would require a large room. Great for a basement.

Definitely Polanco for our family.. we raised six kids and at any given time this room would have worked for all of them, regardless of age. Tons of natural light, easy-clean floor, great view of the outdoors that would even be fun to watch in the rain...and I can really see a great place for a special "mom" space too.

I voted New York because I think eventually the rock wall will be grown out of while the New York room seems more flexible to grow with, and also I like the fact that it feels like a dedicated play space not just a living space that also houses a place space.
