Our family room is being redone after a flood issue. We had suggestions to keep the mahogany- type? not the solid- doors and trim. they look lovely. However we now find out we are lacking in matching matching baseboards. They look shoddy although we have scrounged for every possible nice piece. .Question: Do we get baseboards- stained which visibly wont match the doors.?(but look new as does the room) Or painted baseboards? In white or to match paint? Then if painted would you paint the trim around the doors or leave as is? I admit the trim looks nice. Thought might look silly with painted baseboards and no painted trim but sure would appreciate advice,
