After downsizing to a condo townhouse - and until we can afford to do a proper kitchen reno - we just had to do SOMETHING with this ugly 80's kitchen that had been untouched. Applying budget friendly paintable "beadboard" wallpaper to the cupboards and "tile" wallpaper on backsplash took us to a place we could tolerate until we can afford a proper reno. Stone-look countertop and new restaurant style faucet completed the look. We also added knobs and handles to the cupboards.

People can't believe the backsplash and cupboards are wallpaper. Both are textured.
