Since we don't know the codes for your specific location you should ask your building inspector what materials are permissible. Nobody here can make that recommendation as we don't know all the details. Presumably the rated material is necessary due to limiting distance and exposed building face issues. If whoever designed the structure didn't specify appropriate, code compliant materials get clarification from the building inspector. Good luck!

Thanks. Railing on left is 2" off property line with vacant lot. All other structures in sub-division have had to have a firer-rated wall. I will take your advice and check with inspector. We have an open permit but this was never drawn in it.

If that were located where I live, the entire structure would need to be non-combustible construction (no wood at all for framing or cladding) due to the proximity to the property line. The further away from the property line you get, the lest restrictive the rules for materials. Again, I don't know your local codes so I can't definitively say what the requirements are.

I need some ideas for final covering on walk-way wall and the structure siding. I am now leaning towards GALVALUME® Steel Roofing and maybe other materials as well. Trying to decide which direction to run all.
