How to hang nature photos and family photos together

I have 2 16x20 waterfall photos to hang on the wall. They are sitting on the floor. Am wondering if I should mount the one on the left a little higher, since it is a cathedral ceiling? Also, since there is more room on the other side, should I make a photo collage on that side? The other wall is really large. Am thinking of putting up a long floating shelf. Would you go with wood grain, or black? I am thinking of putting family photos and a large mirror on that shelf. Since it faces 4 large windows on the opposite wall, I will need non glare glass. Would this be the best way to mount both family photos and outdoor photos from vacations?

The room would benefit from some added color...atleast an accent wall ...maybe curtains ....an area rug...to warm up the space

The waterfall photos on each side of the tv at same height...collage above table on right equal width to the table...where is the shelf to go?

Depending on how professional the family photos are.... a gallery presentation in a hallway usually has a big impact if you put them in identical size and type of frame and hang at about eye level...to accommodate photo sizes have them matted to fit in identical frames so the photos are the star ..not the frames

You'll have more impact if you get rid of the small stuff and let the pictures and plants star. The console on the big wall is too small. I would put a larger plant in the corner, move the peace lily to the other end, replace the console with a larger one, hang picture ledges above.

I would frame the larger waterfall image to match the smaller with a mat, then hang them both together to the left of the TV. The taller plant on the right will balance them. I'd also lower the TV so it relates to your media cabinet.

The carpet may go someday and will get an area rug then. I am also going to get cellular shades, and add some curtains at some point. What about adding a mirror someplace? I have a 24x30 inch mirror I want to frame. Any ideas on how that would look.

What would a mirror reflect? I think mirrors are often used injudiciously, just stuck on walls to fill space, and you end up looking at the microwave. It could go on the wall opposite the window if the view is nice.
