You are on the right track. The black shingled roof is going to drive the rest of the color scheme. You might consider highlighting your front door as well. Greys with orange or yellow are a great combo. See the following examples.

Should I leave the garage color the same?

I would definitely paint the garage the same colour as the house, otherwise you will draw attention to it. I would make the front door and entrance way the focal point. You can do that by painting it a contrasting colour to the stucco. I think you are on the right track with your pavers too. They draw attention to the front door from the street.

I agree. Unless your trim or other exterior components include white, the garage door sticks out like a sore thumb. Perhaps priming and painting it with exterior paint instead of replacing it. Emphasize the entry as that will give great curb appeal.

Thank you so much for your helpful comments and suggestions. I am in the process of purchasing a door and intend to paint it in a yellow or orange scheme as suggested to create a focal point. I am having a bit of a dilemma with the style of the door, however. We were planning to get a full lite but considered that it's probably not the best security wise. Do you have any suggestions? We would like a door that would bring some sort of light in the house, so definitely with glass of some sort. Many many thanks again!

I definitely prefer the mid-century look to Craftsman in this instance. Either will give you a bit of light to your foyer. You can get the look of the door I referenced above with a slab door and applying some moldings before painting.
