Thanks for the question! The kitchen is about 10' x 14'. The peninsula and sink cabinets are the same length - about 6.5'

Oh sorry - I re-read the question and see that you're looking for the space between the peninsula and the wall cabinets.

42" is a good standard to provide comfortable passing space without too much room, which can be tiring in a busy kitchen. In smaller spaces, you can trim it down to 39" but you need to be sure that your oven, dishwasher, and cabinet doors will all have enough access space. Larger kitchens frequently have larger areas between the island and wall cabinets, sometimes more than 48". It all depends on what space you have and how you use your kitchen!
