Put the booze in a cabinet, move the shelf and put a nice picture of something you like there.

Add another cabinet with shelves on top to match your existing cabinets.

How about raising the shelf up on 4" fat brushed steel legs to make it lighter looking, tie in with the fridge, and make it more of the focal point by being taller that the fridge. You could also make legs from two pieces of 4 x 4 laid like plinth bases so you see between them, and painted black. If you're tired of the clutter and have another place for your stuff hang a large piece of art, I have a huge Andy Warhol soup can framed.

Or maybe add on some more cabinets like a single or double door pantry as a bar for a built in look. Good luck!

i really dont like this shelve. i like the idea of cabinets or pantry. But i would like to make a very modern one. Thanks for your advices they are very helpful.

Can you flip it with the art in the dining area, or is there enough space for it with the table? You might hang it on the wall horizontally and fill it with red pottery to pick up the red from the art.

Check out IKEA if you have one near you and you could do frosted glass doors to keep it lighter looking. Maybe you could mount a piece of art to that big door and make it blend in. It's more modern to paint out the trim and doors with the walls too. Why have it highlighted.
