I'd like to give this tiny bathroom some personality

I just replaced the lights and am open to taking out the medicine cabinet and putting a mirror there. I was also thinking about mosaic tiles on the wall where the toilet is. I have a Kohler Tresham sink with pedestal that I'll be using. I also have Kohler purist faucet and hardware (towel toilet paper rack etc.) What about color? For the mosaic tiles and or the rest of the bathroom? I'd like to go with a cream colored trim that matches the rest of the house.

I would go with tile for any room where you can have water issues such as overflowing toilets and the like. Put a throw rug in front of the sink and it should be fine for your kids.

I agree about moving the medicine cabinet and putting a larger mirror above the sink. You could move the one over the toilet, and then put a nice picture there. I wouldn't put the medicine cabinet over the toilet for obvious reasons.

If this is a powder room, you can have wood floor. Otherwise, you need tile. Since it's tiny, you can go with anything.

First of all, I think the first problem of your bathroom is that it isn't getting adequate lighting.

Second, are you open for getting a new sink/vanity? Your current one looks too..standard issue.

Third, what style do you want for your bathroom, do you want it modernized? Do you want a traditional look?

Lastly, I see that you have mentioned about changing your tile, what kind of tile did you have in mind?

We tiled the floor. And I am having the whole bathroom re drywalled. I believe we will take the medicine cabinet out, and I'm not quite sure what to do with the window at this point. Because there is no other sunlight I think we should leave it. The other side is a mudroom that was in addition. There is privacy frosting on the windows. the scuttle will be sealed as well..

I have a faucet that is going to match my kitchen sink. However, I am having a very hard time finding a sink I would like it to be matching the kitchen and other bathroom so it should be Kohler. I would love to get a Parigi, but I think that it may be out of my budget. I have granite people coming on Thursday to template my kitchen and I am wondering if I could drop an Undermount into granite and have the holes drilled for the Fossett.

The biggest problem I'm having is space. Sitting on the toilet, your knees would touch if it were not a wall mount with space underneath.

Move the mirror over the toilet to the sink. Put a framed print over the toilet. You could make a little skirt for the sink and a window curtain to match.

Well, considering I'm a seamstress and have 100s of bolts of designer fabric, that should not be a problem. :)

My parents had a teensy powder room similar ...but they had a very narrow vanity that had storage underneath. I'm just thinking that with 5 kids, you will need more storage. And a pedestal sink will have none.

I would love more storage but the girls are 1 & 3 and into everything. Everything stored at their level will end up in the toilet.

lose the mirror over the toilet thats just kinda gross, agree a picture would be a better bet there. put it over the sink if you like it, but with a pedestal sink you should find more storage somewhere. keep the window but maybe shorten it to make it higher on the wall to keep light but give more privacy

Never looked at the mirror over the toilet from a male perspective. Sealed up the ceiling.

I love the geometric design! Just put tile in there so I'd like to work with that. I may want to put this painting behind the toilet. I'm having a tiny granite wall mount vanity made with an undermount sink and a Kohler Purist faucet. If I use an art piece like this, do I choose colors from the painting? Or am I going in the absolute wrong direction?
