Hello! That really is too bad about the flooring being discontinued. You must be frustrated - I know I would be! Well, hopefully, you can find the same flooring in a warehouse somewhere - crossing my fingers there - but, if you don't, I would recommend choosing a bamboo with a finish that is different enough it won't look like you were going for a close approximation.

The pic below is just an example - I can see the darker samples aren't what you have. But, if it were me, I would look for a finish that picks up on the darkest striations in your current floors. Definitely stay in the same color family, whatever you do. I don't see any reds in your flooring, so stay away from reddish finishes, for example.

It won't be the end of the world if you have to do it this way - luckily, it will be a logical switching point. It would be worse if it had been a living room-kitchen switch!

I totally agree, don't try to match it - just go for something totally different that will co-ordinate.

A hickory or American walnut would do well up against this floor. You may want to try to get as close to the same plank width/bevel as possible so there is some sort of flow. Hickory with a gray stain (very close to what you have on the bamboo) would give you some continuity. American walnut left in its natural state would look outstanding next to this floor.
