Patio Help Needed.

I just lived into a new apartment. It's amazing, the only downside is the courtyard area. It is all fenced in concrete. It is a rental and I can't change the structure. I have two dogs and would like to make it a puppy friendly space. How do I go about doing that?

How about some big pots along the wall planted with a mix of tall and short plants and then some nice pea gravel for the dogs it is easy to pick up poop from or even some concrete paving slabs and a planter with a tree in the centre lots of green and some color will make it feel much nicer.
