question about the siding?

My guess this is Western Red Cedar? Love the stain. Can you share which stain you use to give it the natural slightly grayish look? Would you also know which grade and cut of cedar? CVG or A&Better? Shiplap or T&G?

The siding is Cyprus, and we used blended two Valspar stains, one a whitening agent, to get the effect.

Hi, love love love this house! We are building and we are so inspired by this look. Can you tell me which stains you used? Cabot bleaching perhaps and? Also what is the color of the roof? Is it black, dark grey or bronze?

Thank you. I believe the stains were made by Valspar, although we tested several Cabot products as well. It was a matter of which brought out the best color. The process was to use a bleaching oil followed by a blend of two other of the same manufacturer's semi-opaque stains.
