My new kitchen, cabinet color....

I am completely redoing the kitchen and will have whitewashed white oak floors, a light countertop and stainless steel appliances.

I would like to achieve a sleek modern feel. The cabinets will mostly be floor (only a couple upper) and will include a good size island. The room m is a open concept and flows into the living area and dining area.

Should I do an Expresso or birch color for the cabinets?

A lot of people think grays and medium tone woods are fine together, but I don't care for them. They don't match, but there isn't enough difference to give a nice contrast that I want in my home.

If you aren't sure, I think it's because you don't like enough to want it in your home. Keep looking till you find something you think looks fabulous together, and then you'l love your home for years to come.

Can you post pictures of what you're using, or links to examples of it?

With birch color, do you mean the natural color of the birch wood?

If you want to save a picture, click on the 'save' button that should come up when you put the cursor near it. That will save it to an ideabook that should come up so you can choose which on to save it to. You can post it in a thread like this by copy and pasting the link from the browser.

Got it thanks. Picking between these. In the past I stuck to light wood tones to keep the room lite, but was using tile. Now I want to do all wood floors and am just not sure the lite wood will work.
