kitchen paint color

Does anyone have any advice on what color I should paint my kitchen. I have been seriously choosing the wrong colors. If u can see it was previously a puke green but I have since primed it and started on this new orangey color which I have decided looks like baby sh** after they ate carrots or something. This is not the direction I want to go..again. I am going for a modern/contemporary look as much as possible. Nothing traditional. Any help is appreciated!

It really does depend on what other colors that your kitchen adjoins to but for a suggestion Sherwin Williams 6Bracing Blue242 would be nice choice.( shown in the picture below ) Perhaps adding a large chalkboard menu on the back wall would add interest. Good luck.

Choose a green tone to balance out the redness of your floor.. The link I've attached shows Benjamin Moore Saybrook Sage. It would work well for you. http://s78.photobucket.com/user/Natesgram/media/deco3.jpg.html

Seems you've chosen earthy colors - enough you say!?
Unless you need to place a spice rack on the far wall [between cabinet walls] - something with little depth so as not to get knocked off...what about choosing canvas art [or something really flat]? and pick a color that would look good with white and floors.

what else/ what colors are going on beyond the kitchen?
"here's looking at you, kid" haha a joke that a color you like such as rust/terra cotta can be a little part and not on the wall - see his ear? It should be fun...what might you display that you like?

If you want a modern look I'd suggest painting the whole space white and rely on color coming from the floor, plants, art etc. If you want something more contemporary try a light cool gray that would compliment the white cabinets and contrast with the warm floor color.

I thought of a nice lime green too but how many greens did you try as patches on the wall? Yellow can be cheery. They placed a colorful clock on the end wall.
