Miele dishwasher

We've heard so much about bosch dishwashers and planned to put one in our new kitchen but just recently, someone brought up Miele as a good option for quiet, efficient cleaning. Any one use a Miele dishwasher? Would you recommend it?

I don't know about Miele but we put a Bosch in our new home and I don't like it! We had a fabulous Bosch in our old home so of course I chose Bosch again but this new one doesn't compare to the old one. Honest. Glasses don't stay in place but continually fall over, the thing takes 2 1/2 hours if you use the Sanitize (from what I understand the new models all take a long time), but if you don't use the Sanitize the dishes (especially cups and glasses) are wet even after the dry cycle. And the third rack is a joke.
Oh, with my old Bosch I could move the silverware holder anywhere on the bottom rack but with the new one it has to stay in one place. Btw, I got the top of the line model, supposed to be the quietest but it's noisier than my old Bosch--not by much but I can tell the difference. I'm by no means saying this Bosch is BAD...just not what earlier models were. Probably if I'd never have had an earlier model I'd rave about it! And compared to other brands, I'd recommend a Bosh over them any day (meaning Whirlpool, Maytag, etc).
I hope the Miele gets good reviews for you. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say for when the time comes for me to replace this Bosch. :).

There is another discussion about this from about a month ago. I'll try to find it for you. People who had Miele dishwashers loved them. Bosch had mixed reviews. We have a new panel ready Bosch and like it. Very quiet and washes dishes perfectly. We took out the utensil box and only put silverware on the top drawer. You can move the middle drawer up and down which is a nice feature. As for what Crowly48 said, I don't think they make appliances like they did twenty/thirty years ago. Not even the expensive ones.

If you enter a term like "dishwasher" or even Miele and search Advice, this gets discussed a lot. We bought a Miele diswasher maybe four or five years ago and love it. It cleans well and is so quiet.

I bought a Miele dishwasher in April 2024 for over $1,600. Since then, it has broken five times with the same F11 error code. Each repair requires weeks of waiting, only for the same problem to return.

Miele representatives told me that after three identical failures, the issue could be escalated for replacement. Despite this, Miele’s Quality Assurance Team keeps closing my case and telling me to repair the same defect again and again.

The dishwasher is currently unusable. The repeated outages—especially during holidays—have created real hardship for my family and unexpected expenses just to keep our household running.

This is not what anyone expects from a so-called premium brand. I have full documentation and videos of each failure. At this point, I would strongly caution consumers before purchasing a Miele dishwasher.
