What color are your cabinets? Do you have a picture to post?

I do have some pictures to post. The original homeowners had a more modern backsplash. We are trying to determine what backsplash would look best if any.

White subway would look great;)

I personally love subway tiles. You could do white or even gray tiles.

One thing, if you go with the white, the outlets will blend in very easily. Make sure you replace the outlet switch itself to the white also;)

Do you think I should add a pop of black for color? I tried to get a pic of the entire kitchen. It opens up into our living room. Also, could you suggest a paint color? Right now it's Tiki Hut from Sherwin Williams but I'm thinking it's too dark? Thank you Margo so so much!!

I do not understand with what you mean by adding a *pop* of black? Any pop of color can be brought in through accessories on the counter, throw pillows, art, and window treatments. I would not limit myself with any permanent pops;)

Yes, with an open concept it would be nice for all the rooms to flow. It does not have to be the same color as the living room but it should compliment it;) What is your accent color in the living room, hard to tell by pics?

We have two small children but eventually I would like to get two lighter couches. Currently we are trying to use red as an accent color. But I'm open to change. My husband is drawn to warmer colors and Browns and I'm drawn to bright, clean, grays and whites.

I need help with arrangements and where to purchase furniture and art. I just don't even know where to start!

OK- until you get the new sofa's you are planning, how about rearranging a bit? Have you tried switching the sofas? Pulling the chair in on an angle facing them to create a conversation flow. I think you need a bigger rug to get the furniture's feet to rest on the carpet. I would put the red art behind the tree over the sofa. If you could do some rearranging and then post a new pic we could go from there. Thoughts?

Forgot to mention that I like the current color of the SW Tiki Hut, but I like the warm beiges ;)
