Counters etching?

Hello,
I also have Namib(ia) Sky quartzite in my kitchen for just 6 months and have had a ton of etching, rings, marks. Any of the same experiences or advice?

We are also interested in Namib Sky quartzite...have you sealed your countertops? Have you had any issues with scratches or just etching?

Using a stain remover would be the easiest way to remove the etching.

I actually haven't other than when we left a puddle of red wine overnight on the counter, it was etched (but not stained) so I was actually pretty happy. It actually did chip in 1 place which was surprising as they touted it as being very strong. Overall, it has been very reliable for us thogh.

Is the countertop still working for you? I am pretty sure it is actually marble they are just calling it quartzite. Quartzite should not etch. That said, it is beautiful.

    Hi

old theead, but wondering how hour experience has been with the namib sky? it is actuslly a marble , not a quartzite. i have it in a polished finish on a piece of furniture , snd thinking of using it for kitchen, but unsure of issues. have a polished and honed sample here to test. so far, the only etch mark was left on the polished sample due ro vinegar. oil, ketchup, lemon extract, coca powder, cookong wine, didnt leave any marks.

    any insight appreciated
